From Delhi to Chandigarh: A Musical Mission of Humanity, Hope & Happiness!

Entertainment ; AND MORE Entertainment… And This Time, a Healing Touch for the Elderly

By Dr. Engineer RAJAINDERR JAINA

What began in Delhi Old Aged Homes, as a journey of sharing sorrows ; music, Passion, and heartfelt entertainment has now beautifully extended to Chandigarh.

Renowned producer, director, writer, actor, singer, and humanitarian Dr. Engineer Rajainderr  Jaina once again proved that music is not merely entertainment—it is a medicine for lonely hearts and forgotten souls.

A special event titled “An Evening Dedicated to the Elderly Brethren” was organized at Kartar Aasra trust Chandigarh, where a soul-stirring musical evening with Sharing of Love & Sorrows, was presented for elderly residents who have been left alone by their families and are silently battling age-related struggles and illnesses.

The evening became even more special as senior residents from Kanjhawla Old Aged Home also travelled all the way from Delhi to Chandigarh to listen songs from the passionate Artist , and be a part of this emotional celebration of life, music, and togetherness.

Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina shared that singing for the elderly is not just his passion, but his heartfelt mission.

He expressed deep concern for those senior citizens who are often abandoned in the rush of modern life & Greed for money & Properties by their families. While many people generously provide food, clothes, and shelter, he emphasized that their deepest need is emotional companionship—someone to sit with them, listen to their life stories, share their pain, and bring smiles back to their faces.

This noble thought became the inspiration behind the event.

Mrs. Monica, who was also part of the evening, expressed her happiness and said she felt deeply moved, emotionally enriched, and inspired by the experience headed by the great artist Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina

During the program, Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina mesmerized the audience with around 15 timeless golden-era evergreen songs, each one filling the atmosphere with nostalgia and joy.

The elderly residents responded with overwhelming warmth—many came forward to share touching stories from their lives, while others sang along, clapped, and even danced with childlike happiness.

The most electrifying moment of the evening came when Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina performed beloved classics such as:

O Janeman Dilara – Ek Nazar Idhar Bhi

Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar

Shokhiyon Mein Ghola Jaye

Pyar Baantte Chalo

Dil Karta O Yaar Dildara, Aaj Gaa Lo, Muskura Lo

As he fondly remembered his Bollywood friends like Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, and Rajendra Kumar, the entire hall of nearly 150 residents burst into song and dance, creating a magical moment of shared happiness.

Adding a cinematic sparkle to the evening, the muhurat launch of Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina’s upcoming feature film ‘ BEDAKHAL’ , and short film ‘Pita Ya Paisa ‘ , was also held before the event in the adjoining Gurudwara

The ceremonial clap was given by Charan Kamal Kaur, Founder and Chairperson of Kartar Aasra Trust.

She expressed immense happiness, saying that Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina’s presence brought visible joy, music, and renewed energy into the lives of the elderly. She prayed for the grand success of the film and even expressed desire to join in for the Punjabi version of the Feature film

And hoped that parts of its shooting would take place in the ashram and Gurudwara premises. She also graciously agreed to be a part of the Punjabi version of the film.

The event was further graced by the presence of a former MLA, distinguished guests, and well-known cricketers, who appreciated the noble thought behind the initiative.

They beautifully remarked that just as people once adopted children, families without parents could consider adopting elderly individuals, completing their homes with love, blessings, and wisdom.n

The evening truly lived up to its title—a heartfelt celebration where music, memories, compassion, and humanity blended into one unforgettable experience.

Deeply impressed by the overwhelming response, Baljit Singh, Manager of the ashram, expressed his wish that Dr.Er.Rajainderr Jaina should organize such programs every month, bringing fresh enthusiasm, joy, and emotional light into the lives of the elderly residents.

Representatives from Life carry  On were also present and shared that such meaningful initiatives are an inspiration for society and a reminder that love, time, and music can heal what medicine often cannot.
